Stephanie Gail Molina, age 68, passed away on April 18, 2024, in Overland Park, KS. Stephanie was born on September 24, 1955, in Great Bend, KS to Doris (Mull) and Harold Daniel Wedel. She grew up in Overland Park, KS where she attended school in the Shawnee Mission School District and graduated from Shawnee Mission South high school in 1973. She later attended college at Kansas State University in Manhattan, KS where she met Robert L. Molina. Stephanie and Robert married in 1975 while attending college. Stephanie graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting in 1977. After college, the couple moved to Overland Park, KS to start a family where they had three children. Stephanie was a loving mother who loved spending time with her children. After her children were grown, she re-entered the workforce at US Central in accounting for 10+ years. She later retired in 2017. She was an avid fan of football and a poker player.
Her parents Doris and Harold Wedel, proceeded her in death. Survivors include her brother, Timothy K. Wedel, Littleton, CO; two sons, Wesley R. Molina, Olathe, KS; Casey L. Molina, Littleton, CO; her daughter Anna M. Molina, Olathe, KS; and two grandchildren, Logan D. Molina and Liam C. Wilson.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 29, 2024 at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 East Broadway, Newton, KS, 67114, with funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. and burial after the service at Greenwood Cemetery, Newton, KS.
