Sherry V. Anspaugh, 67, of Newton, died at her home on Saturday (Dec. 17, 2011).
She was born on February 15, 1944 in Roswell, N.M., the daughter of Phil and Lawida Finkenbinder Ramsey. Sherry lived in the Russell County, Kansas area for many years.
She had worked for Graves Truck Line in Salina. Sherry was a waitress for many years in the Salina area, among the restaurants she worked at was Russells Restaurant. Sherry and Gerold moved to Newton 12 years ago and enjoyed being a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband Gerold Anspaugh of the home; son Tony VanPelt and his wife Tyla of Wichita, Ks.; daughter Gerri Lankton of Denton, Tex.; five grandchildren; and two lifelong friends, Sue Stout and Raylene Lane.
There will be no visitation or viewing as cremation has been effected.
Private family services will be held.
Arrangements are by Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, Newton.
