Robert T. Mc Linden, died on February 20th 2013, at the Peabody Nursing Home in Peabody, Kansas.
He was born on April 17, 1926 to Jessie Adams McLinden and Thomas McLinden in Marion, Kansas.
On June 4, 1953 Robert married Florence Bishop in Emporia, Kansas.
Robert was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Newton.
He served a term in the United States Army. Robert enjoyed woodworking in his free time.
He is preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers, Joseph and Cecil and a sister, Margaret.
Survivors include Florence of the home, a daughter Roberta and husband Craig Schuster, Littleton, CO and 2 grandchildren, Andrew and Hannah.
A Book Signing will be held from 9:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held on Friday, March 1, 2013 at 7:00 P.M. at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
Funeral Mass will be on Saturday, March 2, 2013 at 10:30 A.M. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Newton. Father James Mainzer will be presiding.
Cremation has taken place. A family inurnment will follow at a later date.
Memorials can be made to the St. Mary’s Catholic Church or Harden Hospice, in care of the funeral home at 120 E Broadway, Newton, KS 67114.
