Robert E. Conner, 53, died Sunday (October 9, 2011) in Newton.
He was born on August 17, 1958 in Huntington Park, Calif., the son of Arlen and Barbara Dietz Conner. He graduated from high school in Fullerton, Calif.
Robert served in the U.S. Army from 1976 til 1980, moving to El Dorado, Ks., shortly after that. He married Pamela K. Hayes on June 9, 1985. They lived in Florence and Newton.
He had worked as a lead-man for the Coleman Company for several years.
Survivors include his wife Pamela of Newton; adopted son Jedidiah Hays of Newton; step-daughter Angela Baker of Wichita; grandson Kevin Baker of Newton; father Arlen Conner; brothers Richard and Mark Conner; sister Doreen Nash all of Fullerton, Calif.
Robert is preceded in death his mother; sons Scott, Carl and Robert; step-son Brian Gross.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Wednesday (October 26, 2011) at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Florence, Ks.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday (Oct. 25, 2001) at the funeral home between 9am and 8pm.
Arrangements are by Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, Newton.
