He was born on June 15, 1946, in Newton, the son of Milford and Ruby Miller Dreier. Bob was raised in rural Newton and attended Newton High School.
He married Karen L. Meires on January 3, 1972, in Newton.
Bob grew up on the family farm and after serving six years in the United States Army, he started his own custom harvesting and construction businesses. He enjoyed watching KU basketball, shooting trap, hunting, and taking camping trips to the lake with his family. Bob loved spending time with his family, but especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his children, Darci Weller of Rocklin, CA, her daughter, Jenna (Michael) Cox; Andrea (Wes) Hamm of Walton, KS, and their children, Haley and Drake (Natalia); Ben (Lisa) Dreier of Valley Center, KS, and their children Taylor (Landon), Cody (Ashton), Becka, Makayla and Jake; great-grandchildren, Jace, Jameson, Emma, Jackson and Waylon; sister, Darla (Terry) McCloud of Newton, KS; and countless nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Bob was preceded in death by his wife, Karen, and his parents, Milford and Ruby.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Monday evening between 5 and 8 p.m. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday (Nov. 29, 2022) at Highland Trinity United Church of Christ in rural Newton.
