Pearl D. Brandewiede

August 14, 1931 — January 17, 2018

Pearl Delores Brandewiede, 86, died Wednesday (January 17, 2018) at the Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice Center of Via Christi Regional Medical Center-St. Francis Campus in Wichita.

She was born on August 14, 1931 in Durham, Kansas, the daughter of Paul and Mary Fisher Hein. Pearl was raised in the Durham area, graduating from Durham High School.

She married Robert Frank Brandewiede on May 9, 1958 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Newton. For many years they farmed in the Newton area.

Pearl was the Association Secretary for Farm Bureau for over 25 years. She was a longtime member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and through the years was active in the Altar Society.

Survivors include her husband Robert of the home; son James R. Brandeweide and wife Cheryl of Hesston; daughters Debbie A. Casey and husband Larry, and Kathy S. Vieyra all of Hutchinson; nine grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

Pearl is preceded in death by her parents and brother Robert Hein.

The Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be said at 6:30 P.M., Friday (January 26, 2018) at the Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in Newton.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday (January 27, 2018) at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Newton. Interment will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Newton.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 1:00 P.M., on Friday.

A memorial has been established with Schowalter Villa and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice. Contributions may be sent to Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 E. Broadway, Newton, Ks. 67114.
