Patsy Delores Jones

Patsy Delores Jones, 87, of Newton, Kansas, passed away on February 3, 2024. She entered this world on October 11, 1936, in Lyons, Kansas, where she was born and raised by her parents Raymond and Garnett Kelly. 

Patsy graduated from Lyons High School in 1954, and went on to become a Beautician. She married Orville Jones, Jr. in August of 1955. In this marriage they had three children, Mona, Darla and Bryan. 

Preceding her in death is her father Raymond, mother Garnett, husband Orville, and their three children.  

Patsy was a homemaker for many years until her kids were grown before going back to work, she worked at Moffitt Jewelry Store, and Conklin Cars of Newton.  When she retired she was blessed with many unique experiences traveling around the world, and enjoyed fellowship at the local senior center. Patsy will be remembered for her quiet strength and caring ways. 

She is survived by six grandchildren, and six great grandchildren Morgan Schwabauer, Cody Abney, Brandon Abney, Ryan Nikkel, Kylee Nikkel, Kasey Jones, Cade Schwabauer, Kendall Schwabauer, RaeLynn Abney, Everleigh Abney, Alanah Nikkel, and Steele Abney. 

Visitation will be held on Feburary 6 2024, from 5:00-9:00 p.m., with family from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home 120 East Newton, Kansas 67114. 

Funeral Service will be held 10:00 a.m., Feburary 7, 2024 at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home Newton, Kansas with Pastor Mark Hoover officiating the service. 

Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
