He was born July 28, 1949 in Peoria, IL., and was united in marriage to Sylvia Schorn on January 15, 1972 in Newton, Kansas at St. Mary's Catholic Church.

Patrick is survived by his wife, Sylvia; three children, Timothy, Thomas, and Molly; five grandchildren, Connor, Shane, Bailey, Margaret, and expected baby girl in April; and his brother James.

He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Charlotte McGee, and two of his brothers, Michael and Jerome.

Patrick loved his Church, family, and college alma mater, Benedictine College.  Patrick was a member of the Knights of Columbus and an active parishioner throughout his life. He and Sylvia were presenters for the Denver Catholic Engaged Encounter organization and also sang in the choir at Our Lady of Fatima for nearly 20 years. There was no question that his family was very important to him, visiting all members of his family often in Texas, Georgia, Kansas, and Illinois.  Benedictine College is where he met his wife and his best friends.  His loyalty and giving  to the college lasted a lifetime.  Patrick received the Cross of the Order of St. Benedict in 1991 and the Kansas Monk award in 1996. Both of these awards are conferred upon those who have performed outstanding service to Benedictine College. Patrick and Sylvia started their own scholarship which is fully endowed in their name.

Patrick worked in bank services his entire life until he retired in 2010. His work allowed him to visit community banks in all 50 states.  Other than being a true family man, Patrick was known for his sense of humor, story telling, love of travelling, generosity, gift of relaxation, positive disposition, entertaining, and annual St. Patrick’s Day parties--41 in total.

In lieu of flowers, Patrick requests that you donate to the Patrick and Sylvia Schorn McGee Scholarship at Benedictine College and Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church in Lakewood, CO. Contributions may be sent to Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
