Marie M. Jantz, 100, died Saturday, March 8, 2008 at Bethesda Home, Goessel, Kansas.
She was born March 29, 1907 to Tobias and Mathilda (Richert) Eck in rural McPherson County. She married Simon Jantz on April 10, 1929. They had one son, Melvin.
Marie enjoyed traveling, gardening, cooking, crocheting, doll collecting, and her many friends. She worked at Salem Home in Hillsboro for 20 years.
She was preceded in death by Simon, and her son Melvin, her parents, 4 brothers, Herman and Frank Eck, two brothers died in infancy, three sisters, Susie Becker, Minnie Koehn and Ruth Jantz. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 10, 2008 from 1:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
Services will be held at the Broadway Colonial Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. The Reverend Lee Suderman will be presiding.
Burial will be at the Emmanuel Bible Church Cemetery, Moundridge, KS.
Memorials may be made to Alexanderwohl Mennonite Church in care of the funeral home.
