Obituary for Linda Jean (Dighero) Luzier

Linda Jean (Dighero) Luzier, 81, passed Sunday, November 30, 2025 at home in Newton, Kansas. Linda’s life was marked by compassion, dedication, and a profound commitment to the well-being of others.

Linda was born on July 27, 1944, in Fort Scott, Kansas, as an only child to Blanche (Jennings) and Loyd Dighero both preceding her in death. In September of 1967, Linda married William (Bill) Luzier and had two children William (Butch) Luzier (Kristina) and Sara Monaghen (Sean). Butch Luzier preceded her in death in 2018. Linda’s five grandchildren (Breanne, Jacob, Jordan, Wyatt, and Gillian) were very special to her.

Linda graduated as a registered nurse from Mercy School of Nursing in 1965 and began her career in Albuquerque, New Mexico. She later went back to receive her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Tabor College in 2015, a testament to her lifelong pursuit of excellence in her field. Over the years, Linda served as a nurse in multiple states—including New Mexico, Utah, Texas, Alabama, and Pennsylvania before settling back in Kansas—touching countless lives with her skill and kindness. She practiced nursing in many specialized fields and taught many students through out her 50 year nursing career.
