Leroy Stucky

May 14, 1928 — October 24, 2017

LeRoy H Stucky was born May 14, 1928 in Moundridge, Kansas to John D Stucky and O'tillie Schrag Stucky. He graduated high school in 1946 and married Betty Huxman March 3, 1950.

Prior to entering the US Military, he worked for his brother Art farming, then briefly in a body shop. Leroy later purchased a 90-mile egg/cream route.

He began serving our country in the US Army July 17, 1952 and was honorably discharged on April 16, 1954. Once returning, he again had various jobs and began working for American Coach/DMH where his tenure was from 1956 to 1985, he enjoyed much of his time in a management supervisory role. He finished his career at Hesston Corporation from 1986 to 1991.

His wife Betty passed away in 1991 and he was then married to Audrey Kennedy Gillispie in 1992, she survives him.

Other surviving family members are one daughter Cindy Frisbie, one son Michael Stucky, two step-sons, Roger Gillispie and Robert Gillispie, a step-daughter Kristie Stubby and all of their respective spouses. In addition, Leroy has four grandchildren, five step-grandchildren, six great grandchildren and 11 step-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, six brothers and five sisters.

After nearly three years at Kansas Christian Home, with continued failing health, LeRoy went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 24th.

Leroy's hope for all of us is that one day we will meet him in heaven.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 A.M., Saturday (November 4, 2017) at the Grace Community Church in Newton.

There will be no visitation or viewing as cremation has been effected.

A memorial has been established with Good Shepherd Hospice, contributions may be sent to Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
