Leonard Searl

Leonard L. Searl, 80, died Saturday (January 1, 2022) at the NMC Health in Newton, Ks.

He was born on January 31, 1941 in Cassville, Missouri and graduated from West Port High School in Kansas City, Mo.

Leonard married the love of his life, Judith K. Rose on April 9, 1960 in Kansas City, Mo. They lived in Kansas City until moving to Wichita in 1963, later to Sedgwick in 1972 and into Newton in 1996.

For several years he was an equipment and productivity manager along with being an auctioneer. Leonard was the youngest District Manager for W.W. Grainger Manufacturing in Wichita.

He was the cornerstone of a perpetual five generation family. Leonard is lovingly remembered by all as a devoted husband, wonderful son, nurturing father, fun-loving grandpa, and sparkling great grandpa.

Leonard has a deeply genuine loving relationship with the Lord, demonstrated by his daily walk outside of the four walls. He will be remembered and missed by many.

He leaves behind his loving wife Judy and his mother Ruby Lucille Davis-Wills both of the home in Newton; son Kevin Searl and wife Darla Kasper of Goessel; daughters Donna Kenley of Fayetteville, Ark., Cindy Clark of Newton, Vicki Arrington and husband Roger of Sedgwick; five grandchildren; and 11 great grandchildren.

The casket will be open at the funeral home on Friday (January 7th) between 1:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M., where the family will receive friends between 5:30 and 7:30 P.M.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday (January 8th) at the Broadway Colonial Funeral Home. Those attending are asked to wear flannel shirts along with either overalls or jeans.

Graveside and interment services will be at 3:00 P.M., Saturday at the Oakhill Cemetery in Chetopa, Kansas.

Arrangements are by Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, Newton, Ks.
