JOHNNY CHRIS LUJAN, JR., 48, of Newton, died Friday (Nov. 18, 2011) at the Newton Medical Center in Newton, Ks.
He was born on February 21, 1963 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He attended schools in Lamar, Colo. They family moved to McPherson, Ks., where they lived for eight years until moving to Newton ten years ago.
Johnny’s life was filled with his love for camping, fishing, working on cars and motorcycles. He enjoyed being with family and friends. Words cannot express how deeply he will be missed and how much he was loved.
He leaves behind his parents Frank and Bertha (Vargas) Marquardt of the home in Newton; son Johnny Lujan,III of Lamar, Colo; daughter Valerie Gonzales and husband Patrick of Pueblo, Colo.; brothers Matthew Lujan,Sr. and wife Loretta of Lamar, Colo., and Ronald Cruzen, Jr. and Tina of McPherson, Ks.; sisters Destiny Marquardt of Newton, and Sonia Marquardt and husband Steve of Andover, Ks.; five grandchildren Isaiah, Serenity, Nevaeh, Sariya, and Riley; along with numerous nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Johnny his preceded in death by two sisters Valerie Lujan and Mary Jane Vargas.
Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 9:30 A.M., Wednesday (Nov. 23, 2011) followed by the Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 A.M., both at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Newton. Interment will be the St. Mary’s Cemetery, Newton.
Friends may call at the funeral home until 5pm on Tuesday.
Contributions may be made to the funeral home to aide the family with funeral expenses.
