Jay Dee Ediger, 62, passed away Aug. 17, 2016. He was born February 23, 1954 in Hutchinson, KS to Harvey and Helen Ediger. They precede him in death.
Jay graduated from Buhler High School in 1972. On July 6, 1973, he married Jolene Bowles. She survives.
He was the beloved father of Jeremy Ediger and fiance’ Brandi Golden, Josh Ediger and wife Jesse, and Kylie Kieso and husband Kenny. Jay was adored for his kindness, quick wit, and storytelling by his six grandchildren: Addison Ediger, Henry, Lucas and Sam Ediger, Ethan and Hayden Kieso. His sister, Twila Miller of Yukon, OK, also survives.
Jay’s love for the open road, westerns, and gathering around the family dinner table with loved ones, will be cherished by all.
Visitation with the family will be held from 2 – 4 p.m. on Thursday, August 25th at Halstead United Methodist Church in Halstead, KS. Memorial donations in honor of Jay Ediger may be sent to Caring Hands Humane Society at 1400 SE 3rd Street in Newton, KS 67114.
