Helen Elizabeth Lewin , 86, died Thursday (Aug. 20, 2009) at Lakepoint Nursing in Wichita .

Helen was born on April 24, 1923 in Elbing, Ks., the daughter of Jack and Maybell Cullup Seeney . She attended school in Elbing. She married Arlo R. Lewin in 1945 in El Dorado , Ks. He died in 1958.

Helen had been a cook at the New Horizon’s in Valley Center . She had been a member of the Anticoh Christian Church and Pleasant Valley United Methodist Church both in Wichita . She had also been active in the Young at Hearts Group in Maize, Ks.

Survivors include her daughter Beverly J. (Kenneth) Wynn of Wichita ; one brother Paul R. Seeney of Kingston , Okla. ; one sister Millie Seeney Flathers of El Dorado , Ks.; three grandchildren, John Middleton (Gary Jones), Cristina Brown (Eric L.) and Christopher Middleton; four great grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers Bobby Joe Seeney , Loren F. Seeney , John E. Seeney; three sisters Erma Laman, Mary Ann Dickson, and Patty Neufield.

Graveside services will be held at 2:30 PM, Tuesday (Aug. 25, 2009) at the Pleasant View Cemetery in Elbing, Ks. Reverend Sharlene Micelli will be presiding.

In Lieu of Flowers, a memorial has been established with the Good Shepard Hospice, in care of the funeral home.

Visitation will be Monday 1pm til 9pm.
