Gertrude Titus

Gertrude Maria Titus, age 90, passed away on September 15, 2025, in Newton, Kansas. Gertrude (Trudy) is survived by her step-children, John, (Margie) Titus and family of Newton, Kansas, Robert, (Marybeth) Titus and family of Lee Summit, Missouri.

She is preceded in death by her husband Orville Eugene Titus, a step-son William (Bill) Titus, parents Henry and Impe Anderson of Finland. Trudy was born on October 14, 1934 in Negaunee, Michigan to parents Henry and Impe Anderson. She graduated from Detroit Michigan High School. She worked and retired at an Optometrist office as a receptionist. She married Orville E. (Gene) Titus in Newton, Kansas October 14, 2007. Trudy and her parents moved to Florida, Palm Beach area. Trudy and Gene met through a Christian dating site.

Her family and friends will always remember her as a feisty but loving person with a love of cats. A graveside service is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on September 18, 2025 at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton, Kansas. The family would like to thank Paramount Community Living and Broadway Colonial.
