George Paul Garcia

George Paul Garcia, age 61, of Newton, Kansas passed away April 17, 2023 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas, surrounded by his family. George was born January 25, 1962 in Marion, Kansas to George A. and Angela (Martinez) Garcia.

George graduated from Newton High School. George loved all kinds of music, and on the weekends he would DJ and share his love of music with others. His siblings say he was always playing music of some kind. He coached little league baseball. His last job before retiring was at Norcraft in Newton.

George was preceded in death by his parents, George A. and Angela; wife, Kathy; sister, Clara Marin; brothers, Manuel and Benito Garcia.

George is survived by his daughters, Rebecca, Jessica and Felicia Garcia; sisters, Josephine Garcia of Newton, Angelina Garcia of Newton, Mary Bean (Donald) of Hutchinson; brothers, Daniel Garcia (Stacie) of Newton, Greg Garcia (Tami) of Wichita, KS; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 8-10 a.m., Monday, April 24, 2023 at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be prayed at 10:00 a.m. Funeral Services will follow at 10:30 a.m. Cremation will take place after the service and burial will be at a later date in Florence, Kansas.

Family suggests memorials to the Cancer Center of Kansas and may be left with the funeral home.
