Elmer L. Seibel

January 31, 1920 — March 26, 2008

Elmer Lee Seibel, 88, was born on January 31, 1920 the son of Anna (Wall ) and Jacob Seibel in Alune, Kansas.

On June 12, 1953 he married Dorothy Amy Pankratz in Hillsboro, Kansas. She survives of the home.

He was a member of the First Mennonite Brethren Church, Wichita, Kansas.
Elmer built homes in Wichita for a number of years before retiring. Woodworking was a favorite pastime of Elmers’. He also enjoyed his fishing trips.

Other survivors include a son, Gerald and wife Loreta Seibel, Kechi, KS; daughter, Leora and husband Marty Schneider, Milford, NE; brothers, Homer and Wallace Seibel; sisters, Lucena Thiessen and Frances Quintana; grandchildren, Jessica, Jacob and Julia Seibel, Kechi, KS and Amy (Adam) Hoagland, Hastings, NE, and Vance Schneider, Milford, NE.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and brothers, Clarence and Ernest.

Visitation is Friday, March 28, 2008 1:00 PM till 8:00 PM with family greeting friends from 6:00 P.M.-7:00P.M. at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home. Funeral Services are 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 29, 2008 at the First Mennonite Brethren Church, 8000 W. 21st. St., Wichita, Kansas.

Burial will follow at Resthaven Mortuary and Cemetery, Wichita, KS.

Memorials are to the Harry Hynes Hospice or Mennonite Central Committee in care of Broadway Colonial Funeral Home.
