Dr. Donald C. Taylor

Dr. Don C. Taylor, 79, Newton, passed away on April 12, 2014, at home.

 He was born to Delores Yates on Sept. 13, 1934, in Wichita. He graduated from Wichita East High School, then graduated from the University of Wichita with a BA in Journalism. He received his Masters and doctorate degrees in English Literature from Drake University. He was a professor at several local universities, including Wichita State University.

 Dr. Taylor is survived by his wife of 56 years, Barbara, three daughters, Kris Hubbard, Newton; Kim and Mark Werth, Wichita; Amy and Randy Payne, Newton; and his sister, Sharon Paugh, Overland Park. Eight grandchildren; two great grandchildren.

 A private family service will be observed.
