WICHITA:
Doris Ann Smith, 77, died Tuesday (September 28, 2021) at the Kansas Medical Center in Andover, Ks.
She was born on July 2, 1944 in Oklahoma, the daughter of Floyd Ozrowe and Edna Mae Scrimpsher McDaniel.
Doris married Orville Eugene Smith on January 14, 1980 in Wichita. They lived in Park City for a short time before moving to Texas and Colorado. In 1994, they moved to Warsaw, Missouri which is where Orville died on February 14, 2002.
Through the years Doris has been a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include her son Robert Smith of Baytown, Tx.; daughters Bobbie Murphy, Debbie Burden, Gail Murphy all of Wichita, Angela Chaisson of Winfield, Shanna Smith and Rochelle Smith; two brothers Willis McDaniel of Wichita, Norman McDaniel of Ft. Scott; numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren; and great-great grandchildren.
Doris is preceded in death also by her parents and her siblings Roy Cox, Dorothy Goebel, Lena Farrow, Wilburn McDaniel, and Floyd McDaniel.
Funeral services 11:00 A.M., Saturday (Oct. 2nd) Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in Newton.
Interment will be in the Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
The casket will be open at the funeral home on Friday between 1:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M.
