Delmar Lynn Nash, 70, died Thursday (April 29, 2021) at the Schowalter Villa in Hesston, Ks.

Delmar was born on April 20th, 1951 in Lewellen, Nebraska to Herbert and Zella (Rittenhouse) Nash. Delmar was raised on their family farm in Lewellen, Nebraska and attended grade school there until his father needed to move to warmer climate because of his heart attacks so the family moved to Seiling, Oklahoma, Delmar graduated from Seiling High School, in 1970.

The family then moved to Fairview, Oklahoma where Delmar started a career as a welder and worked for many years for MA-Bar Inc. he was an excellent welder.

On May 20th of 1978 Delmar and Deanna House were married at the First Methodist Church in Fairview, Oklahoma. In 1979 a son was born Dustin Lynn Nash and 1981 a daughter was born Amy Lea Nash.

Delmar went to work in the oilfields in Oklahoma in 1981 as a floorhand thinking he would be able to strike it rich and take good care of his family but the boom didn't last long. He has had many feedlot and farming jobs he loved farming that was really where his heart was.

He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Wayne Nash and Dale Nash and one sister Carolyn Armstrong.

He is survived by his son Dustin Nash, a daughter Amy Nash, their mother Deanna Nash and Deanna’s mother, Georgia McGlone all of Newton, KS; one sister Patty Lark of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 A.M., Saturday (May 8, 2021) at the First Baptist Church in Newton.

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.

Arrangements are by Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, Newton
