Dean Hodson

Lyle “Dean” Hodson was born January 26, 1935 at the family home outside of Sylvia, Kansas, the son of Harry and Bertha Kelly Hodson. He passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2022 at his home in Wichita, Kansas surrounded by family as he lost his courageous battle with glioblastoma.

For several years Dean had been a truck driver for Dolly Madison Foods.

Dean was an amazing dad to his 10 children Debbie Porter, Diana Mericle and husband Steve, Gary Porter and wife Jacque, Peggy Holland and husband Randy, Joe Porter and wife Belinda, Sarah Thomas and husband Gary, Tresa Rauh, Sharon Hodson, Randy Hodson and wife Lori, and Kevin Hodson; 19 grandchildren, and 33 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Jacque on April 4, 2016; four brothers and two sisters.

Memorial services will be at 11:00 A.M., Saturday (Oct. 15) at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2700 S. Richmond, Wichita, Ks. 67217.
