Christopher J. Schmidt, 20, died Saturday, March 11th 2017 at his home in Newton, Kansas.
He was born on May 18, 1996 in Wichita to Katherine P. Schmidt. She precedes him in death.
C.J. loved music. With that love came the joy of singing and dancing. He was loved playing his video games.
He was employed at RCI of Newton, Kansas. C.J. was also very active in the Special Olympics.
He is survived by his brother Alex Schmidt; aunt and uncle, Jeff and Lori Schmidt; two uncles Mitch and Chris Franz and his grandmother, Tootsie Schmidt.
Preceding him in death was his beloved mother, Katherine and his grandmother Billie McFarland and his grandfather Jerry Schmidt.
Services will be held on Saturday, March 18th, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in Newton, Kansas. Pastor Matt Kruse will be presiding.
Memorials have been established with Newton Bible Church in care of the funeral home at 120 E. Broadway, Newton, KS.
