Candace Amber Morrison, 47, of Newton, Kansas, passed away on September 30.
She was born on October 12, 1977, to Donald Morrison and Virginia Archie.
Candace will be forever remembered for her empathy, creativity, and the profound lessons she taught her children and grandchildren about love and resilience. She had a gift for making everyone laugh and will be deeply missed for her funny, strong, and caring spirit.
She loved music, watching shows and movies with her loved ones, and was an avid sports fan who cheered passionately for her Kansas City Chiefs. Candace cherished lending a caring ear and, above all, spending time, with her entire family.
Candace is survived by her partner, Andrew Duchan; her children, Joaquin, Jessica, Jada, Thomas, and Korey; her ex-husband, Adrian; her grandchildren, Kali, Anaya, and Amar; her mother, Virginia Archie; and her siblings, Pamala Morrison (Brent Novak), Denise Lerch (Sean Lerch), Kimberly Morrison (Elvis Adams), Buck Morrison (Jenni Morrison), Riel Morrison, and Amanda Morrison.
She was preceded in death by her father, Donald Morrison, and her sisters, Tracey Morrison and Tina Morrison.
A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held on October 7 at 2:00 p.m. at the Broadway Colonial Funeral Home, 120 East Broadway, Newton, Kansas 67114.
