Bill Dorey Titus

March 15, 1951 — October 26, 2023

We had to say goodbye to Bill Dorey Titus our kind hearted, loving brother on Thursday, October 26th 2023. His body had turned his life upside down but his heart and mind represented our Bill. He was born on March 15th,1951 to Gene and Shirley Titus in Newton, KS. Bill married Arlene Funk and had Uriah Job Titus who was a gentle soul like him. He is preceded in death by his parents Gene and Shirley Titus, his son Uriah Job and his grandniece Kilar Rain Gillispie.
He is survived by his two brothers John (Margie) Titus and Robb (Mary Beth) Titus and his stepdaughter Maisha (Lance) Dible and their 3 children Zoie, Zander and Zain. Also his father’s wife Trudy Anderson Titus, his many nieces, nephews and grandnephews and grandnieces. He is also survived by Sherry Hoffman, Brenda Crutchfield, Rosie Torres and Vicki Castleberry and their children who were a special part of his life along the way.
Bill was a gentle soul. An approachable, accepting, positive person that loved sports and looked forward to watching his stepdaughter, her children and his great nieces play. He loved watching Wichita State, K-State and KU sports teams along with the Royals and Chiefs.
Bill and his brother John had Titus Roofing & Exteriors for many years in Newton where they were well known not only for their business but for helping people that didn’t have money and by hiring people that needed jobs.
Bill was a very spiritual person who meditated and reflected daily. He moved to Mesa Verde, CO where he would go daily into the National Park and meditate. He loved the beauty of the mountains and waterfalls. Nature was his peaceful place. When he returned to Newton he purchased a place in the country where he could commune with nature and continue his meditating.
He was very close to his brother John who was with Bill daily since his illness.
To all his friends that visited regularly we are so thankful for you and to you. That gave and showed him more love than you could know. To the people at Paramount CLC that showed your patience, love, care and support, we appreciate everything that you did. Bill’s Good Shepherd Hospice nurse, we will always be grateful for you. Thank you.
